JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Constantly maintain a clean workstation by following sanitation SOPs and adhering to plant-wide housekeeping standards
- Pack, hand stack, and inspect finished product
- Verify date codes for accuracy
- Use proper LOTO procedures, follow all safety and sanitation procedures, and all PPE requirements
- Detect, isolate, and document defective material according to quality requirements
- Correctly perform the duties and cross-train on all production equipment
- Load raw materials into the infeed hopper, monitor the processes, and correct as needed
- Use computer, scanner, copier and other related office equipment as needed
- Perform line checks and other duties to ensure program requirements are met
- Must be able to access information from computer and machinery touchscreens
- May need to operate a fork truck
- Position workstations require standing and climbing; stairs frequently; operators move between work platforms
- Other duties as assigned

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

This position is for an active, self-starter who will come to work ready to solve problems and get work done. It is expected that this person is willing and able to design a process/experiment and do the hands-on work of performing the experiment/trial and be able to lead a small team of production associates and technicians. The work includes process development, scale up and optimization. You must be comfortable in an office using Excel (or AutoCAD etc.) and in a food plant environment turning a wrench and running process equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute commissioning, qualification and verification protocols.
- Collaborate with other functional groups including QA, Manufacturing and Finance to develop process and equipment specifications for existing and new equipment.
- Develop, present, and communicate preliminary capital proposals of new processing technology, equipment, or cost reduction opportunities including determination of ROI and other benefits.
- Design and execute experiments and use appropriate statistical tools.
- Create PFDs and contribute to P&ID creation.
- Process and system optimization during startup and continuous improvement of existing processes.
- Serve as liaison with external engineering firms.
- Assist in technology, vendor, and partner evaluations.
- Participate in capital projects which may include supporting the preparation of equipment and construction bid specifications, and acquisition, installation, commissioning and start-up of process equipment, and system troubleshooting.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Minimum 3-5 years related experience in food, beverage, and/or biotech or similar industry.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Food Processing preferred).
- Strong understanding of use of statistics, experimental designs (DOE) and six sigma (or similar) in problem solving.
- Ability to produce conceptual drawings with a CAD program.
- Ability and experience developing Process Flow Diagram (PFD).
- Working experience in the development of Process & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID).
- Ability and experience writing concise project proposals and reports.
- Able to lift 25lb repeatedly.
- Able to stand or work on your feet for up to 4 hours at a time.

The R&D Associate Scientist will ask questions, develop tests, and capture data to provide quantitative answers clearly presented in clear plain language to management. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS in a physical science or other STEM field, or 4 years laboratory experience.

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Victory Hemp Foods (VHF) is seeking an experienced Food Safety and Quality Manager to join an exciting hemp food ingredient company. As leader of an early stage, lean, startup operation, the FS/QA Manager will be expected to wear many hats in the initial growth period but will shed responsibilities to more specialized employees as the company grows. It is important that you are willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done, but also able to effectively manage a team of quality professionals.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, has well developed knowledge of food processing, food safety, 3rd party certifications including Kosher, Halal, Non-GMO, USDA Organic, GFSI and more, agricultural supply chains, and material handling, planning and storage. The FS/QA Manager must be willing and able to directly interact with FDA, Kosher, Halal, Non-GMO and other 3rd parties. The FS/QA Manager must be comfortable communicating the mission of Victory Hemp Foods to stakeholders including board members, investors and customers. Ensures all products produced meet or exceed all customer, regulatory, and company requirements as they relate to food safety. Directs the plant Food Safety and Quality Departments in selecting, developing, and motivating food safety team members to achieve organizational goals. Acts as plant authority on all food safety and quality matters to ensure product safety and quality is always maintained.

- Manages all activities of the Food Safety department in a manner which results in consistent food safety results as measured through the company matrix and regulatory mandates.
- Expert abilities and decision making for Food Safety, Regulatory and Quality Challenges.
- Develops, documents and implements food safety processes and procedures to ensure product safety is always monitored and maintained.
- Leads all food safety and regulatory efforts at the plant.
- Serves as the catalyst for leading continuous quality improvement and Company’s QIP through technology and scientific research in an effort to develop the plant’s food safety program(s) and quality to industry best.
- Influence development steps used in the innovation and commercialization process to leverage design and achieve consumer safety and quality objectives, and drives improvement of consumer-based specifications.
- Guides company Quality Standards, Systems and Quality Policies.
- Enforces the company’s food safety standards as outlined in the plants HACCP, GMP and GFSI standards and other programs. Maintains the required documentation.
- Provides leadership and is an active member of project teams to ensure food safety concerns are addressed at assigned plants.
- Maintains open communications with plant management, sales and marketing staff to ensure each are aware of any potential food safety related concerns with product or product requirements and specifications.
- Develops a professional working relationship and acts as a plant liaison with regulatory agencies.
- Develops staff through appropriate mentoring and continuing education efforts. Ensures the company’s food safety programs are properly communicated and plant associates have a working knowledge of the programs through training and mentoring.
- Provides timely, accurate and relevant data and analysis to plant and corporate management.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with urgency via prioritization and program management skills.
- Embodies knowledge and general business acumen to support and influence Marketing and R&D.
- Engage in development and standardization of quality manuals, policies, procedures, data templates, audit standards and procedures.
- Maintains Statistical Process Control Programs, and performs design of experiments and process capability studies.
- Ability to drive organizational alignment on Quality objectives with an enterprise-wide mindset, and the adaption of structure, processes and system to achieve objectives.
- Assertive yet collaborative. Demonstrated skills influencing components of the company, tough-mindedness, vision, and political savvy to manage internally and externally.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum education: BS Food Science or related STEM field, MS preferred
Years of relevant quality experiences: 8 or more
Years of Quality Supervisory Experience: 5 or more; previous experience as Quality Manager is preferred

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We’re looking for an experienced Inside Sales Manager who can handle customer service preferably with experience in ingredient sales in food and beverage and/or personal care. The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for nurturing inbound leads, and developing leads into customers of our award winning products. The Inside Sales Manager manages our CRM and maintains all data entry related to customers and inbound customer workflows. In addition to managing customer relations, the Inside Sales Manager must maintain a high level of excellent customer service that includes promptly replying to emails, phone calls, facilitating meeting requests, processing orders, organizing outbound logistics, fulfilling and tracking sample requests, all with a positive attitude that conveys the culture and mission of the company to customers. The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for working closely with the Food Safety and Quality Assurance team to respond to and remediate any food safety and quality compliance issues. The Inside Sales Manager will also work with Marketing to align sales and marketing objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages company CRM and expands prospect pipeline through properly growing and categorizing leads.
- Maintains deep knowledge of the sales pipeline, while properly growing and categorizing prospect data.

- Builds relationships and engages individual / industry contacts and existing customers.
