Chad Rosen, Victory Hemp Foods Founder

Chad Rosen, Founder/CEO

Chad Rosen is an entrepreneur who is passionate about developing impact based businesses with sustainable supply chains. 

Chad moved from California in 2014 and put down roots in Northern Kentucky, where Victory Hemp Foods is based. A graduate of the Village Capital Agricultural Accelerator, his network in the food system is far reaching at high levels in the private and public sectors. In spring 2020 Chad led his team to win the first-ever Hemp Innovation Challenge™ at the World Ag Expo® in Tulare, CA for the development of Victory Hemp’s premier products, V-70™ Hemp Heart Protein and V-ONE™ Hemp Heart Oil. In addition to leading his company’s growth over the past five years, Chad has worked as an industry-wide advocate within the U.S. hemp grain supply chain and market and is dedicated to developing hemp grain as a significant and positive addition to American agriculture.

Ben Raymond

Ben Raymond, Director of Research & Development

Ben Raymond has always been passionate about real, healthy, delicious food. He earned a BS in Nutrition and Food Science at the University of Vermont followed by an MS in Food Science at North Carolina State University. He then joined DD Williamson and progressed to Innovation Scientist during his six years with the company. Ben is highly skilled in emulsion formulation and processing, natural color extractions, membrane separations, density separations, chromatography, spray drying, pasteurization, and applications and development of specialty crops. Working from initial concept ideation to process development at industrial scale, he is an expert in the entire product development life-cycle. Ingredients he has developed are used in food and beverage products made by some of the largest CPG brands in the world. Ben recently completed an entrepreneurship focused MBA front at the University of Louisville. He joined Victory Hemp to accelerate the innovation of great tasting, functional, nutritious hemp grain ingredients.

Rob Roscow Director of Genetics

Rob Roscow, Director of Genetics

Rob is a dedicated biologist and inventor who values applying his creative skills in the improvement of commodity production systems. Rob is a double dropout; first leaving high school after only two years to attend Clarkson University, and subsequently leaving an almost finished PhD program in evolutionary developmental genetics to move into the agricultural, cannabis and bio-tech start-up space. At Ebbu, Rob conceived of and developed a patent portfolio centered on enabling enhanced production of Cannabis resin and individual cannabinoids. This work was featured in Rolling Stone, Nature and The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS). Rob and his inventions were instrumental in the sale of Ebbu to Canopy Growth Corporation for above C$400,000,000, during the Fall of 2018. Now at Victory Hemp Foods, Rob dedicates his time to the improvement of hemp as a grain producing commodity crop. Additionally, Rob has been heavily involved in hemp regulatory efforts, both as a behind the scenes expert adviser to lobbyists and as a member of the C.H.A.M.P commission in Colorado, where he represented industry interests.

Nathan Kuchta Victory Hemp

Nathan Kuchta, CFO

Nate joins Victory Hemp Foods with over 15 years of experience in finance and accounting. Prior to joining Victory Hemp Foods, Nate served as a Director of Finance for Propeller Industries. At Propeller, he was able to work with more than 25 high growth companies across industries such as tech, SaaS, ecommerce, media, and insurance. Nate began his career as an auditor with Ernst & Young in their Washington, DC office. He then worked as a Senior Financial Analyst for GTT Communications and for RSM (McGladrey) as a consultant in their financial advisory group. He also worked as a Senior Finance Manager for Endeavor Global, an organization focused on scaling entrepreneurs. Within Endeavor Global, Nate worked primarily on Endeavor Catalyst, the investment arm of the organization. Nate graduated from the University of Richmond with a degree in accounting as well as being a member of the varsity baseball team. He received his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with concentrations in finance and sustainable enterprise. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife Rebecca and son Beecher, bike rides, live music, and running.

Lori Coleman Food Safety

Lori Coleman, Food Safety / Quality Assurance Manager

Lori joined Victory Hemp Foods with over 20 years industry experience in USDA and FDA food and beverage manufacturing facilities. She is a subject matter expert in HACCP and FDA based Preventive Controls Food Safety plan development and systems management. Having served in various roles throughout her career with organizations including Koch Foods, Odom’s Tennessee Pride, Perdue Farms, Coca Cola Bottling, Five Star Custom Foods, and most recently, HB Specialty foods, Lori has vast knowledge and experience in slaughter, raw processing, dry ingredients and ready to eat manufacturing facilities. In these roles, she developed and managed all facets of food safety and quality management systems, including and GFSI certifications for both SQF and BRC schemes. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Tennessee with core studies in Animal Science and Extension Education. She is HACCP and FSPCA (lead instructor) certified and holds a Lean Yellow Belt Certification.

Joseph King Victory Hemp Foods

Joseph King, Associate Scientist, R&D

Joseph King received both his B.S. and M.S. in Food Science from Purdue University. King’s thesis centered around utilization of sustainable proteins developed from the underutilized and invasive silver carp. King has experience analyzing both physiochemical and sensory changes within various food matrices and has worked with a variety of food and alcohol matrixes.

Justin Bailey Victory Hemp Foods

Justin Bailey, Finance Director

Justin is a financial specialist with experience ranging from merchandising and supply chain for a Fortune 50 food service company to investment analysis for U.S. and International investment groups. Industries assisted include agriculture, energy, financial technology, and early stage technologies. Justin earned a BSBA from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and an MBA in Finance from the University of South Carolina.

Amanda Strecker Victory Hemp

Amanda Strecker, Director of Admin / CEO Support

Amanda Strecker is a graduate of Western Kentucky University where she earned a BA in Political Science. After spending five years living and working abroad in South Korea, she returned to the US and began working on a $2.5 million grant from the CDC to eliminate diabetes related disparities in rural Kentucky counties. Most recently, she worked as a capital campaign manager at a local cancer support non-profit, helping to raise more than $14 million. Amanda has been a vegan since 2012, and brings her passion and knowledge of plant- based foods to our mission-led work at Victory Hemp Foods.

Aleah Rouse Victory Hemp

Aleah Rouse, Director of Marketing

Aleah Rouse is a senior manager skilled in team leadership, relationship building, brand development, strategic planning, and marketing campaign development. She graduated from the University of Mississippi where she received a BA in Marketing Communications. She has managed annual marketing budgets in excess of $1M for large B2B companies like Time Warner Cable Business Class and has experience in a wide range of industries including agriculture, real estate, technology, and consumer packaged goods. Aleah worked with the Texas Department of Agriculture on their Go Texan campaign, as well as campaigns for commodity crops like Texas Watermelon, Texas Vegetables, and Texas Florists. She also worked with the Texas Nursery Landscape Association on their state-wide expo each year. Aleah led the Victory Hemp brand development process and has been involved with Victory Hemp’s branding and marketing efforts since 2016.

Collin Gallus Victory Hemp

Collin Gallus, Sales / Business Development

Collin Gallus joined Victory Hemp Foods in 2017, taking an active role in educating customers on the many uses of hemp ingredients and the nutritional benefits of incorporating hemp foods into their diet. After graduating from the University of Louisville’s College of Business, he began managing production and setting up operations in Middlebury, VT and Carrollton, KY. Collin is currently managing sales, business development and customer service from the Victory Hemp office in downtown Louisville, KY.

Ron Ritter, Plant Manager

With over 15 years of food production experience with Ralcorp Holdings, through purchases by Conagra and then TreeHouse, Ron has shown a servant leadership approach to managing production teams and brings a passion for setting up new processes and production lines. He also brings deep Kentucky roots and a manufacturing network in the area.

Peter Strugatz Victory Hemp

Peter Strugatz, Chair - Board of Directors

Peter Strugatz was part of the Green Monday Ventures team that made investments in Califia Farms, Beyond Meat, Lavva, Perfect Day, Green Common, and other plant-based food companies. Peter is an early member of the mission-driven business community as an entrepreneur and an investor. Peter’s resume includes 22 years as CEO of manufacturing companies and eight years as a full-time social angel investor. Peter served as co-founder and co-CEO of IceStone, which was among the first to achieve Cradle to Cradle Gold certification, becoming a founding member of B Corp., and was named as one of the first Inc. Magazine’s “50 Greenest Companies.”

Jon Cooper

Jon Cooper, Board of Directors

Jon Cooper recently served as Deputy Managing Director, US Operations and Expansion at Canopy Growth after selling ebbu to Canopy in 2018. Based on ebbu’s scientific discoveries, the company filed 40+ patents related to more than 1,500 inventions under Cooper’s leadership as founder, including water-soluble cannabinoid technology and the development of cannabinoid formulations that produce consistent mood effects, like relaxation. Before ebbu, Mr. Cooper launched several companies and served in various leadership roles in technology, communications, consulting and media firms. He has worked with dozens of startups to help them refine their business strategy and plans, and he’s guided them with their financing strategies and investor relations.

Al Tank, Advisor to Victory Hemp

Al Tank, Board of Directors

Al Tank is an active entrepreneur, investor and strategic advisor with a primary focus on the agriculture, food, and energy sectors. Most recently, Al founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer of Revolution Energy Solutions LLC (RES). Al is a 20-year member of the Harvard Kennedy School Private and Public, Scientific, Academic, and Consumer (PAPSAC) Food Policy Committee. As well, Al serves on the Advisory Boards of many foods, agriculture, and technology companies. Al is a graduate of Iowa State University. He was raised on a diversified crop and livestock farm in Iowa that he manages and operates with his brothers.

Eric Jackson

Eric Jackson, Board of Directors

Eric Jackson is the Founder & Board Chair at Pipeline Foods, a global organization with a vision to accelerate the availability of non-GMO, organic and regeneratively grown food with best-in-class sustainable supply chain solutions. His career included roles at Pillsbury Company, Speciality Commodities Group and Chicago Climate Exchange to develop carbon sequestration programs for farmers and landowners.
